This is the latest version of the Death Gliders I have created. This version is equiped with a new weathered and battle scarred pure Naquida hull texture, a pilot, Lift Generators, Decelleration motors, Transport Rings, and some wild lighting effects. Please select 'Unlimited Fuel' in your aircrafts realism settings.

You will notice upon starting your Death Glider that your bird has no landing gear when not moored within a mother ship and thus hovers on magnetics while batterys and reactor life exist, thus no landing gear is needed. This is still a feature though that must be 'switched on and off' and is referred to below as the landing field generators (3), and is activated by depressing [g], (gear).

[Transport Rings]
The transport rings allow molecular transdimensional teleportation through space/matter, so long as the components are 'within' the teleportation rings during their moment they are retracted. They are somewhat transdimensional during the point at which their magnetics field is activated, and thus pass through the hull as though it wasnt there. Be careful not to 'beam in' some earth when on the field when using the rings to ingress/egress the ship, wait till the bird has steadied herself after a touchdown, as she will tend to drift slightly on her magnetic holding field.

The rings are operated via Shift/E command, (canopy), and come out, deploy pilot, and then retrieve to their core cell storge. To regaine access to the glider, once again deploys the rings. This is required actually for space environments, as the canopy/hatch may be used otherwise in proper atmosphere environments. (On this particular model, the lower and upper access doors do not function, only the rings).

[Decelleration Motors]
You are equipped with two diffrent decellerators. One you will need, which is your landing mag-field buffer, (landing gear; [g]), and the other is via your spoilers control, [/].

[Lift Generators]
These are used during landing and takeoffs and run off the Flaps controls, [F5 thru F8].
In test flying this highly secret alien craft, I found that one, perhaps two 'notches' of flaps is superb during takeoff, which gives you a temporary climbout similar to a helicopter during takeoff, at which you would shut down your landing field generators, [g] and then gradually click your flaps to zero position or select [F5]. Remember, that your engines powerful thrust potential is fully capable at zero setting of 'flaps', and you might have to nose slightly up if you do this at a low speed, as full up flaps stall speed is 70 KIAS.

Upon landing, I apply zero throttle until roughly 2-5 NM out, then apply Decelleration motors, [/], (spoilers), until well under 100 KIAS, at which point, a notch of lift generators is applied as well as your landing field, [g], (or landing gear, though there is no visible gear, it is a lifting field generator that is activated that is not used in flight and due to intense magnetic flux, will slow the craft if left on during normal flight, thus it is switch 'off' during regular flight procedures).

[Flight]
Note that the controls to this alien craft are extremely extremely sensitive and are not fully develloped, nor realised. The airforce is still working out handling to this sophisticated bit of alien technology. The roll in this craft is phenominal and should be used mostly for manuvres of corkscrew course changes in which one rolls to 90 degrees of their target course change and then noses up into the new heading and regains alignment with the horizon by leveling out.
Elevator control is sensitive at upper speeds and can slightly over control. The airforce figures this is required for some reason and has thus left the setting alone, but intend to figure a way to control it better during upper speed ranges of over Mach 2 to Mach 4.24. (Yes! Mach 4.24. This craft is equiped with a technology unknown to man kind. It utilizes a set of greavity well generators that are powered by a form of reactor which if fueled by a rare material called Naquida. The rest is ultra confidential and under restrictions per Majik 12 and SGC branches of the US Airforce). High speed flight is capable on this craft for periods of time, such as for immediate space flight jumps and hops to diffrent cities. Otherwise, speeds of around 1400 KIAS should be normal. (Try not to pass a civilian airliner at such speeds. Please adhere to all proper USAF test plane protocols on this highly sensitive craft).

[Landing]
Upon coming in for landing, the Death Glider exhibits incredible braking capabilities and has several systems for decelleration; Lift gernerators, landing field generators, and deceleration engines; (Flaps, Gear, and Spoilers). You will find that you can actually come in at a phenomenal rate of speed, 400 to 600 knots until 2 NM out, and apply [g] and [/], at which the Death Glider displays its most amazing ability to seemingly 'come out of warp!', if you would pardon the expression. Just prior to touchdown, apply a notch of F7, again and again if needed. Just before touchdown, you might use the Lift Generators, [F5 thru F8] to slow your actual contact with planetary or otherwise landing surface. I find that one or two notches of F7 is sufficient right before contact with the surface of the landing site. you might wish to give the Glider a bit of throttle during final descent, as she will try to stall at .05 KIAS.

[Landing Practice]
I have found that lifting off from Cairo International airport or HECA, a quick jaunt to the Giza platuea is possible. From there, you can practice touch and goes from the 3 major pyramid sites, starting with Giza, then bear left and traverse the Nile river to the next two pyramids, and further down are another set of pyramids. I find it quite exciting to come in at a high rate of speed and then apply speed decellerator engines, lifting field, and then finally a notch of F7 for a nice touch down. You can actually fly the Death Glider like a attack helicopter hovering her down little hills and through ravenes in true attack helicopter fashion. I would master the art of hovering this very strange bird with an hour or two of hops and experimenting with her odd hover characteristics.

You will note there is a 'airbrake' light on the top left of the instruments panel. If you cannot attain high rates of speed, check that gear is up, spoilers are off line, and flaps are up, you will then reach astronomical speeds in seconds.

[Installation]
Install the Death Glider main file into the aircraft folder of either FS2004 (FS-9), or FS2002. I use Windows Explorer to drag and drop folders of aircraft. I cannot accept any responsibilities on this software. It is developed with stock aircraft design programs and should work on most all Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 and 2004's. Care was taken this time to keep it less memory intense, and thus the frame rates should be quite impressive and fluidic.

The temporary panel for this alien vehicle is courtesy of the Lear corporation and is due to the fact that the USAF doesnt wish to as of yet disclose the Egyptian/Gow'oohl pilot instrumentations interface panel as of yet until further testing. (Its on it's way)!
We thought you might like to get in some flight time before switching over to a 10,000 year old language for instrumentation.

Have fun. This spacecraft/fighter is in the pure stock version as seen in the movie Stargate and earlier episodes of Stargate SG1. The original version of Gow'oohl Death Glider requires that the pilot lay on his stomach, facing out a bubble perspex located at the nose of the craft. The captured Death Glider in Stargate SG1 is fitted with a new canopy via F-15 style, and two seats are installed in true fighter fashion as any other Earth defense fighter aircraft. This is not that version, but a stock Gow'oohl Death Glider. Only the panel is 'not' standard issue.

My plans are to come out with other versions of the Death Glider and hopefully the X-301, as well as some wild panels that would incorporate egyptian like instrumentation that would be quite alien.

If you have ideas and thoughts concerning this bird, please email me. william@lionheartcreations.com. I have been looking for drawings and photos of the cargo vessel as well should anyone find some, I could get them ready for flight on simulator.

Be well all, pray for world peace, and Gods blessings....
